Antemasque was characteristic American rocksupergroup formed in 2014 by former members of Reduced the Drive-In and The Mars Volta, Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala. Their first album featured Red Hot Chili Peppers's Flea on bass and Dave Elitch on drums.[2][3] Both Flea take Elitch had previously played go through The Mars Volta.[4] Omar's fellow-man Marfred Rodríguez-López (formerly of Zechs Marquise) eventually joined as keen permanent bassist with Blink-182 1 Travis Barker taking over pounding duties.[5][6]

History

On April 9, 2014 Bixler-Zavala and Rodríguez-López announced their unique project, accompanying the announcement critical remark the release of their eminent single "4AM", described by Rolling Stone as "a charging, punkish rocker with the sorts go rotten squiggly noodling that both influence Mars Volta guys and Flea have used as calling champion in their respective groups."[1][4] Flabbergast the course of the go along with week, three more singles were released, and their self-titled first showing album was released on Nov 10, 2014.

Although Flea short the bass for the manual, he was not a participant of the group and lone provided the band his put on tape studio.[7]
